Storm Approaching Barrenjoey and Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Sydney, NSW, Australia

I wanted to shoot Barrenjoey Headland and Palm Beach from West Head in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park for quite a while. However the gates to the national park are locked every night at sunset and then opened the following morning at sunrise. I knew I would have to get locked in the national park overnight in order to shoot before sunrise. I had to sleep in my car and when I woke up it was a little bit raining. Quite disappointing. I decided to wait till one hour after sunrise to see if there would be something in the sky and I was rewarded with quite nice dramatic clouds after rain when thunderstorm was approaching Palm Beach and Central Coast.

You have really managed to give this a wild look! Nice one here.

Stunning as always – the long exposure lends itself beautifully to the scene – the blues are magnificent.
