Usually this waterfall is very weak. But we’ ve had lots of rain the last few days. So last Sunday I spontaneously decided to go there just in case there was some water. Not too bad actually. Especially because usually it has only a few trickles. To get this shot I had to use ND8 and Polarizer filters just to get 30 sec at f11 and ISO 100.
If someone wants to go there here are directions: Drive to the Hazelbrook in Blue Mountains, turn left, heading the Hazelbrook train station. From Railway Parade turn to the Terrace Road and drive along it for about 2.5 kms. The Terrace Road is not suitable for low clearance vehicles. Park at the “Car Park 2″, marked with green arrow on the Google Maps. From the “Car Park 2″ follow a shot but very steep track down to the Terrace Falls. Be very careful, as the rocks at the waterfall are extremely slippery at all time. Also there is no reason to go there if the weather is fine and there wasn’t any rain recently.
