Tomorrow I’m heading to Japan for three weeks (and to Russia for a week). I’m flying from Sydney to Vladivostok (Russia) changing planes in Singapore and Seoul. Then after a week in Russia I’m flying back to Seoul and then straight to Osaka. Planning to visit Osaka, Okayama, Hiroshima, Miyajima, Iwakuni, Kumamoto, Himeji, Meoto-Iwa, Nagoya, Matsumoto, Hakone, Tokyo, Kyoto, Nikko and Kamakura. Gee Whiz! There will be three REALLY busy weeks shooting photos, discovering culture, food, architecture and landscapes.
I’ve got my own hand-made “Lonely Planet” guide to Japan. Full of stuff that is not in official LP or DK guides or in any other books. Feel the thickness of the guide! (BTW, Moleskine rulez!) Hope it covers everything I need. It took about 9 (nine!) months to prepare it. It is almost like giving birth to a newborn baby. Many thanks and respect to my lovely wife for doing the most difficult work – researching and filtering Internet.
I’ll try to keep you guys up to date via Twitter so make sure to follow me to get all updates and “road photos”.
