The Grampians National Park doesn’t like me for some reason. It’s just constantly resisting my attempts to explore and photograph it. This time my wife caught a bad cold and had to spend Christmas and Boxing Day in a motel. I even thought to cancel the trip and go back straight to Sydney instead going to the Mungo National Park and further. So I didn’t have enough time to do bushwalks and I spend time shooting from tourist lookouts instead.
This photo was made from Boroka lookout, one of the most interesting and most popular tourist attractions in the Grampians National Park. The Boroka Lookout provides a fantastic view over the Mount William Ranges and it’s only a 15km drive from Halls Gap village.
I cannot explain the dark part on the top of the photo. This is some kind of weather/optical phenomena I presume. It was clearly visible with naked eyes so it’s not a problem with the camera, lens or something like that. But at the same time the sky wasn’t covered with clouds so I don’t know why that is some shade on top of the mountains and sky. Interesting stuff.
