Probably the last photo from my recent trip to the Gold Coast.

Shot from Evandale park. But actually if you move to the left for a little bit (about 100 or 200 meters) there will be a much better photo spot. Unfortunately I discovered that only when it was too dark for shooting.

Shot from Gold Coast Sand Pumping Jetty near The Spit. The Sand Pumping Jetty stretches 500 metres out to sea and draws sand from the slurry pit and pumps it through a 400 mm steel pipeline under the Tweed River to one of the discharge outlets located at Point Danger (Snapper Rocks East), Snapper Rocks (Snapper Rocks West), Duranbah or Kirra Point. It offers brilliant views of Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast line. Cost $1.50 to enter the jetty and $3.50 for people fishing. Children are free. It opens quite early in the morning (5 AM when we were there) so you can do some sunrise photos. But it’s better to check open time the day before. Just in case.

I’m back from the Easter holidays. Spent a few days on Gold Coast in Queensland. This is Surfer’s Paradise after sunset. View from Q1 building – the tallest residential building in Southern Hemisphere.

Had to use thick black cloth to cover camera and lens to eliminate reflections in the window. Used duct tape to attach the cloth to the window. It was quite funny. I was looking like the old photographer – camera and head covered with the cloth.
