I would like to start posting photos from Seoul, South Korea I made in July-August 2007.

This photo is a view of the Seoul city at Dusk from N Seoul Tower. N Seoul Tower located on Mt. Namsan offers great panoramic views of the city, and has been a symbol of Seoul since it first opened to the public in 1980. It is 236.7 meter high and built on the 243m Mt. Namsan and it has been known as the best tower in Asia. Sometimes it’s called Namsan Tower, although ‘N’ in the name means ‘new’ look because after 30 years (it was built in 1969) of devoted support from tourists, it was remodeled in 2005 with a magnificent new look. With the construction of the new lighting system, the appearance, color and pattern of the tower brings change to each season or event. In addition, with the theme of ‘Flower of Seoul’, lighting with the use of 6 different searchlights from different angles will take place from 7p.m. to midnight. It opens all year round from 10a.m. till 23p.m. The best panoramic view to Seoul city is from Glass Terrace (P1).

It’s really difficult to get a photo there without reflection in the windows. Lens hood doesn’t help. I had to use two black umbrellas to cover the entire camera. Later when I was shooting Surfers Paradise on Gold Coast, Queensland I was using black cloth to cover the camera and attached it to the window with duct tape.

The yellow cast on the photo is because the last Sun rays highlighted the mist. Mist is always there because of very high humidity. And it’s a real pain for photographer.
