Sunrise at Bangalley Head, Bangalley Head, Northern Beaches, Sydney, NSW, Australia

Bangalley Head is located a little north of Avalon Beach along the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. It is an area that has steep cliff faces with a large rock platform leading into the ocean. At middle tide this platform is covered with water and that gives a perfect opportunity to capture some nice reflections. It was my first photo session at Bangalley Head but I’ll definitely return there soon as it is one of the best sunrise locations on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

The long exposure really gives the sky a wild look here, beautiful work!

Great shot Ilya – absolutely stunning blues and I love what the long exposure does to the clouds.

Love that sky, it keeps coming right at you! Long exposures are one of my favourite tools. Pentax cameras have this cool feature called multi exposur, which enable you to take up to 9 shots, which the camera then blends into one image. Great for when there is still too much light!
